We recognize the need for environmentally responsible production, including the use of recyclable materials and the restriction of materials or additives that can harm our world. In all the countries where we operate, we will continuously work to improve our environmental performance. HMS has been a responsible manufacturer since our inception in 1987, but we can do better.

There are solutions to the issues surrounding responsible manufacturing and HMS has incorporated many of these practices into our business day and will expand these practices to:

• Reduce the consumption of energy and natural resources.
• Reduce business waste and the use of materials that negatively affect the environment.
• Self regulate and keep a scorecard to monitor our success.

Every HMS employee will have "Green Goals" that they will accomplish with their annual objectives.  We will work with employees that have a passion to achieve our goals and establish them as leaders in this process.  Education is key to this whole process, and we will incorporate it throughout the process.

Responsibility to our community is important to our team.  We have a volunteer program that supports community involvement with causes that need our time and efforts.  We have a global commitment that extends beyond environmental issues to positively touch the lives of people beyond our borders as well.
